Five Star Review ~ Dark King by C.N. Crawford
*****Book Synopsis*****
"Five-star read. This story grabbed me and wouldn't let me go! It is amazingly addictive, and the tension was hot. Make sure you grab it and check out her other amazingly written books!" -- Amelia Hutchins, bestselling author of The Fae Chronicles.
A
snarky fae, a sexy king, and forbidden desire deep as the sea. The first book
in a three-book series.
.
Once, I was a fae princess with sea-magic at my fingertips.
Now? I’m a hunted supernatural in a squalid shop, stripped of my
power. My only comforts are stale cookies, Elvis records, and my hula-hoop.
Until a lethally sexy fae king arrives and rips even those away.
.
After the brutal king throws me in prison, I strike a bargain
with him: my freedom in exchange for helping him find a magic blade. What Lyr
doesn’t know is that the blade might restore my stolen magic.
But as we journey, the gorgeous jerk is starting to make me feel things I’ve never felt. When Lyr touches me, desire ignites. I see raging passion in his eyes, too. If I give in, I risk losing my chance at reclaiming my power. Even worse... I could be forfeiting my life.

Fantastic fae book! An awesome five star read! C.N. Crawford most certainly brings it with this fresh Urban Fantasy.
Aenor, a former fae princess has been hiding out for over a century when a fae assassin tracks her down and throws her into prison. If she does not help him, she will not be seeing her little shop of magical mischief or her human friend. Lyr is the sexy fae king who must find a magical blade that will help his kingdom fight an evil. The evil is a HUGE surprise. To do so he needs Aenor, who is more than willing to reclaim her stolen power and to protect her friend. There is more to meets the reader’s eye than two enemies to loverish storyline. There are more twists and turns that I was having reader whiplash. Is that a thing? Why yes, it is!
Dark King is a fabulous read. I inhaled the book in one sitting and was very thankful that I had Fallen King and Rising Queen sitting on my shelf to read! What I loved the most is the historical bits and pieces thrown in to add a dash of intrigue. Lovers of Amelia Hutchins’ Fae Chronicles and Ilona Andrews’ Hidden Legacy will love love love this series as well.
5 Stars and a tip of my Nerd Girl Hat!
